Are my files uploaded to a server?

Does it work with non-Latin text?
Yes. The text is drawn with the fonts on your device, so any script your system can display — Chinese, Arabic, Cyrillic, emoji — will work.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn into the page content, so ordinary PDF readers can’t simply delete it. It is a deterrent, though, not an anti-forgery measure.
